NSBA Presidential Address TeleconferenceJanuary 30, 2017
On March 1, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. EST, NSBA will hold an issue briefing teleconference for members to discuss President Donald Trump’s first address to a joint session of Congress, taking place on Feb. 28. The speech will echo State of the Union Addresses, however is less formal, giving the new president more leeway to craft his speech rather than provide a detailed summary of where the country stands.
Held the day immediately following the president’s address, this teleconference will provide members with the opportunity to hear from Washington, D.C. insiders about both politics and policy for the coming months.
The call will feature NSBA President and CEO Todd McCracken and VP of Government Affairs Jody Milanese who will provide a detailed analysis on the president’s address, the key small-business issues likely to be at the forefront in the coming months, and how NSBA’s recently-voted priorities will square with the Administration’s and Congresses goals for the 115th Session of Congress.
