NSBA Unveils Tax Reform Report Card

June 26, 2018

NSBA recently unveiled its 2018 Tax Reform Report Card that outlines the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act passed in 2017 and weighs in on what the bill included, what it didn’t and the remaining reforms that must be addressed.

According to NSBA President and CEO Todd McCracken, “We felt strongly that small businesses needed a simple reference guide to what tax reform means for them. While the bill included many positive reforms for small businesses, it did little to ease complexity, leaving considerable tax reform work unfinished.”

In addition to the Report Card, NSBA complied the most recent pieces of data culled from its annual Small Business Taxation Survey, and highlighted the organization’s long-standing Tax Reform Principles. While NSBA ultimately supported the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, it continues urging lawmakers to address critical fixes including simplification, tax parity, permanency and reducing the deficit.
