NSBA Talks to Clinton, Trump CampaignsOctober 14, 2016
This week, the National Small Business Association is proud to release the Presidential Campaign Podcasts, part of our series, The Road Ahead: Small Business in the 21st Century featuring senior advisors from both the Clinton and Trump presidential campaigns. With just a few weeks left to go in this pivotal election, we wanted to sit down with both camps and get their take on key issues facing small business.
Representing Hillary for America is Mike Schmidt, an economic advisor who focuses on small business, financial regulation, infrastructure, housing, and trade. Previously, Mr. Schmidt served in the Obama Administration at the U.S. Treasury Department. Representing Donald J. Trump for President is Peter Navarro, a professor at the Merage School of Business at the University of California-Irvine. Dr. Navarro has a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard, and has written extensively on Asia.
The conversations our host, Jared Nichols had with each advisor were candid, covering topics ranging from tax reform to small-business finance to reining-in federal regulations. These podcasts will provide you with a glimpse into what small business can expect under either a Clinton or a Trump presidency.
