President Obama unveiled a number of small-business initiatives including: extending expanded Section 179 expensing, enhancing SBA lending programs and shorten payment times for federal contractors. Unfortunately, he failed to extend the 2001 and 2003 reduced marginal income tax rates to anyone earning more than $250,000 which could hit a good number of small-business pass-through entities.
