DOL Persuader Rule Due Out by AprilJanuary 16, 2013
The Department of Labor (DOL) has indicated to White House Office of Management and Budget Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) that it plans to take final action on the “Persuader” or “Advice” rule proposed in June 2011 by April 2013. NSBA urged the DOL to withdraw this proposed rule because it would impose a large burden on small businesses and is not justified by the underlying law.
