Entrepreneurs in Action: A Lending Success Story

April 18, 2012

The NSBA is pleased to report its partnership with On Deck Capital, a provider of small-business loans, is continuing to provide value for members.  Veteran NSBA member Susan Jo Nobel was recently approved for a loan through the partnership, and was able to purchase inventory to prepare for a very important customer: the hit reality show Deadliest Catch.

Tacoma, Washington-based Certified Cleaning Services has over 40 years of experience working with Pacific Northwest companies to maintain and improve marine and industries facilities with quality, efficient, environmentally-friendly services.

After receiving NSBA’s electronic The Weekly Advocate, newsletter announcing the partnership with On Deck, Susan Jo decided to reach out in order to learn more about her financing options. One of Susan Jo’s largest customers and most important customer is the crew from the hit reality show Deadliest Catch, and she needed new equipment and a truck before they returned from sea.

“My past experiences with traditional lenders were extremely difficult, to say the least. But On Deck makes the process really simple and really easy. My account representative was so helpful and informative – I came to think of him as an old friend by the end! With his help, I was able to get the financing I needed to purchase new equipment in about 3 business days.”
