GE Hosts Electric Vehicle Events in NY and DC

May 9, 2011

GE has launched the national Electric Vehicle (EV) Experience Tour with the goal of bringing together local businesses, industry leaders, policymakers, and GE experts for educational workshops, test drives, and a detailed dialogue on the business case for EV ecosystems. Having already committed to purchasing 25,000 EVs for their own fleet by 2015, GE is hosting the EV Experience Tour to encourage other stakeholders understand and consider EVs as a viable option for their own fleets.

The EV Experience Tour has already made stops in several cities along their seven-city tour and will next land in New York City on May 12 and in Washington, D.C. on May 19. These events will kick off at 10:00 a.m. with a panel discussion on EV opportunities followed by break-out sessions, a luncheon and finally the chance to test-drive an EV.

GE has invited NSBA Board Members to participate in the May 19 event being held in Washington, D.C., which happens to be during National Small Business Week and is in conjunction with the NSBA Board of Trustees meeting. GE is partnering with GM, Ford, Toyota, Navistar, Smith Electric Vehicles, Mitsubishi, Coda, Smart, THINK and other organizations along the tour.
