Jovita Carranza Confimed as SBA Administrator

January 8, 2020

Yesterday, Jan. 7, the U.S. Senate voted 88-5 to confirm Jovita Carranza as Administrator for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Carranza’s nomination was formally submitted to the Senate in August, and in late-December the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship approved her nomination, setting the stage for yesterday’s floor vote.

NSBA applauds the Senate’s vote confirming her nomination and welcomes Administrator Carranza back to the SBA.

NSBA President and CEO Todd McCracken stated, “Jovita Carranza brings a wealth of experience as the new administrator for the SBA and she will be an asset to the small firms throughout the country. NSBA applauds Carranza’s confirmation and we look forward to working with her to serve the best interests of America’s small businesses.”
