New Consumer Financial Protection WebsiteFebruary 15, 2011
The U.S. Department of the Treasury recently announced the launch of a “beta” Website for the nascent Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
An integral component of the new site is an effort to engage the public during the CFPB’s implementation. The agency would like to hear from “consumers, businesses, and anyone who is interested in making consumer financial services markets work better for everyone.”
The agency is stressing that comments from the public will help form its implementation, as it expects these comments to illuminate the bureau as to what consumers and financial-service providers need.
The website is ConsumerFinance.gov.
