NSBA Seeks Advocacy Award Applicants

February 13, 2019

NSBA is currently seeking active and involved small-business owners for the 2019 Lewis A. Shattuck Small Business Advocate of the Year Award. The award honors small-business owners who go above and beyond in advocating for the small-business community.

Any small-business owner with fewer than 500 employees is eligible for the award. NSBA will choose five finalists and one award winner to recognize in June in conjunction with the Washington Presentation, June 10 – 11, 2019.

Now in its 13th year, NSBA has recognized many outstanding finalists and winners. The award is the perfect way for politically engaged small-business owners to get a little recognition for their years of hard work on behalf of America’s small businesses.

Qualifications for the award include: a demonstrated commitment to small-business advocacy above and beyond policies that specifically impact their own business or industry; a proven history of volunteer efforts to advance and improve the overall small-business community; success in advocating for pro-small business policies; and success and growth as a small-business owner.

Application packets are due March 22, 2019.
