NSBA Member Williams Testifies Before the House Small Business Committee

June 17, 2021

On June 15, the House Small Business Committee held a hearing on “Reversing the Decline in Women Entrepreneurship: Opportunities for Rebuilding the Economy.”

Tammy Williams, the President and CEO of Envision2bWell Inc, a member of the National Small Business Association, testified at the meeting. Williams underlined the importance of capital for entrepreneurs and urged the committee to move forward several legislations promoting equity for women and minority-owned small businesses, making it easier for them to secure funding and compete for federal contracts. She also thanked the committee for their work in supporting small businesses throughout the pandemic, through initiatives such as the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). Finally, Williams urged the committee to “proactively take steps to break down barriers with respect to access and support for woman entrepreneurs.”
