Small Biz Urged to Support JOBS Act

July 10, 2012

NSBA is urging small-business owners to weigh in with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in support of the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act signed into law in April. The implementation of the law is now under the direction of the SEC which is in the process of crafting rules and regulations.

NSBA recently filed comments urging the SEC to adhere closely to the intent of the bipartisan bill which is designed to substantially reduce the regulatory impediments to small firms’ access to capital markets.

Recently, there has been an influx of comments submitted to the SEC in opposition to the JOBS Act, which is why NSBA is urging all small-business owners to register their support of the provision.

NSBA has developed draft comments small-business owners are encouraged to personalize and use in filing their comments with the SEC.
