Small Business Week Starts June 17June 12, 2013
Next week, the nation will celebrate National Small Business Week, June 17-21. Now celebrating its 50th Anniversary, National Small Business Week, its festivities provided by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), will kick off Monday, June 17 in Seattle and will proceed throughout the week in Dallas on June 18, St. Louis on June 19, Pittsburgh on June 20 and will culminate in Washington, D.C. on Friday, June 21.
This year’s events will include various educational and networking opportunities, as well as awards ceremonies for small-business leaders from across the country. Award winners from each state will be recognized along with specific groups such as federal contractors, lenders, and entrepreneurial development groups.
Among the educational opportunities at the various events this year are sessions on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, exporting, capital access, the supply chain, social media, cybersecurity and federal contracting.
