The Senate in the midst of debating amendments to legislation (TPA-2015) which would allow the president to enter into reciprocal trade agreements and requires a timely vote from Congress absent amendments.
Recently, the bipartisan, bicameral Trade Priorities and Accountability Act of 2015 to renew TPA was passed through House and Senate Committees and is now poised for floor action in the coming weeks. that establishes concrete rules for international trade negotiations to help the U.S. deliver strong, high-standard trade agreements that will boost American exports and create new economic opportunities and better jobs for American workers, manufacturers, farmers, ranchers and entrepreneurs.
