Last Week, Small Business Committee Chairman Steve Chabot (R-Ohio) introduced the Small Contractors Improve Competition Act (H.R. 1481) which would improve small-business participation in the federal procurement process.
Yesterday, the House Small Business Subcommittee on Contracting and Workforce, held a hearing on the delayed implementation of various small-business contracting reforms as passed under the FY 2013 National Defense Authorization Act.
Several NSBA-supported contracting reforms have been included in the compromise package hammered out by conferees of the House and Senate Armed Services Committees for the FY13 National Defense Authorization Act, which is expected to be voted on shortly by both the House and Senate.
