Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew recently urged House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to raise the debt limit as soon as possible, as the debit limit’s suspension is set to expire on March 16.
As the nation celebrates the 50th Anniversary of National Small Business Week, NSBA held its quarterly board meeting in Washington, D.C. where it met with Maya MacGuineas, president of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, to discuss the debt.
NSBA has signed on as the inaugural small-business organization partnering with the Fix the Debt Campaign, a bipartisan initiative aimed at urging Congress and the President to implement a comprehensive plan to address the mounting national debt.
