Last week, the SBA released its FY2013 Small Business Procurement Scorecard and announced that for the first time in eight years the federal government reached its annual 23 percent small-business contracting goal.

The federal government fell just shy of its 23 percent goal of overall small-business contracting in 2013, however it did meet the contracting goals for small disadvantaged businesses and service disabled veteran-owned small businesses.
