Report: Not All SBLF Banks Increased Small Biz Lending

According to a recent report from the Office of the Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), many of the former TARP banks that also received SBLF funds failed to dramatically increase their small business lending and instead chose to use their SBLF investments as a TARP exit strategy.

The SBA Office of Advocacy recently released a study on small-business lending during the financial crisis which found that the decline in small-business bank lending was much more severe than it was for their larger counterparts.
