If you did not get routed to NSBA’s Stripe payment platform after registering, please contact Son Thach at:  sthach@nsba.biz

The Washington Presentation will be held at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel just outside Washington, D.C., in Arlington, Virginia. If requested on the registration form, NSBA will send you a special booking link with the discounted rate – you will then use that link to book your hotel room directly with the hotel. This annual event is designed to bring our members to Washington, D.C., to discuss policy, hear from issue experts and lobby on behalf of NSBA on important issues for small business. We have outlined below the tentative schedule; however, these times and topics may change slightly.

Wednesday, Sept. 18

Registration will begin at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City at 9:00 a.m. When you pick up your registration packet, you will receive a complete schedule and other materials.

The first event of the Washington Presentation will be the Procurement Roundtable from 10:30 – 12:00. This optional session is for current and prospective federal contractors to learn more about how to do business with the government. Our official kick-off session is our Lew Shattuck Small Business Advocate of the Year Award luncheon at 12:00 where we will hear from some amazing speakers and recognize the best-and-brightest small-business advocates.

Following the luncheon, the NSBA delegation will talk policy in a briefing on our 2024 priority issues, followed by a panel discussion featuring key policy experts on the State of Small Business. We also will provide a “Lobbying 101” session to help prepare you for the following day’s Hill visits.

That afternoon, we will also hear from the Biden administration. NSBA has requested a White House briefing and we are working with officials on how to best provide insight to our delegation on the key regulatory policies ahead for small businesses.

Finally, we will close the day with a relaxed reception where you can network with other small-business leaders as well as various D.C. insiders.

Thursday, Sept. 19

Kicking off our day on Thursday will be our Congressional Breakfast. You will hear from leading Members of Congress on what small-business legislation is moving in Congress, and what is likely ahead in the closing months of 2024 before the 2024 election season kicks into high-gear.

Finally, you will set out on Capitol Hill to attend your legislative meetings. If you requested NSBA to schedule these meetings, you will get a complete schedule upon registration. We are NOT able to confirm meetings until you arrive in Washington, D.C., as Hill staff typically don’t confirm our meetings until just days prior to the conference. If you did NOT specifically request meetings to be scheduled for you, you are welcome to schedule your own, or set up other meetings that may be helpful to your business.

The attire for the two-day meeting is business dress. The temperature in Washington during this time usually ranges from the mid-70s to mid-80s. You will be walking quite a bit throughout the two days, so we encourage you to pack comfortable walking shoes and/or plan for a taxi or other rideshare service.

Thank you again for registering for the NSBA Washington Presentation! We are looking forward to a very productive and exciting event.
